Finesse has had a longstanding and successful relationship with The Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau. We value our relationship and are proud to be the preferred choice for event and convention staffing solutions in Boston. We provide the finest team of coat checks, room monitors, greeters, and registration specialists to ensure that event attendees have the convenient and friendly service upon arriving.

With the impact of the pandemic, many events have been delayed or canceled, unfortunately. As conventions return Finesse and our team stand ready to assist with events of any size. Recently Finesse was at NECAAN Convention held at the Hynes Convention Center over three days from Friday, September 10th to Sunday, September 12th. This event was originally going to be held in March when typically the brisk Boston weather would have called for more outerwear. Having been delayed to a time when the weather was sunny and in the low to mid 80’s made for a light workload for our coat check specialists. We still had the pleasure of checking a few bags for attendees and vendors of the convention. With rare and uncommon downtime, our team was able to experience the event and share all the great things we saw and the amazingly friendly people we connected with.

NECAAN is the largest B2B cannabis convention in the world being held in many major metropolitan areas. It is also the longest-running cannabis and hemp convention in the North East occurring annually since 2014. This event was designed to create a thriving hub of resources for this rapidly growing industry. With an estimated attendance of roughly 9000 people over the three days, Team Finesse saw and met people who were cultivators, entrepreneurs, patients, investors, educators, accountants, lawyers, marketing specialists, and the list goes on.

We learned all about the different types of rolling papers and manufacturing processes from Andre Bayard of Custom Cones USA and Patrik Eriksson from Futurola, discovered the large world of seeds from the great folks at Ethos Genetics, checked out some bright and colorful Vapes with Danny Vogler at the Kuli booth, and were absolutely blown away from the Fish Head Farms booth. All the vendors were passionate about their products but we have never seen someone with so much passion about his Fish Sh!t and how it creates better products with soil conditioning. Overall everyone was immensely friendly and informative. They were happy to take the time to educate us, newbies, with some offering samples of their products. Being in the business is one thing but for outsiders like us, it was a great experience to learn from people who do this for their livelihoods. The event also had numerous workshops, programs, and lectures to help businesses successfully navigate the regulations in Massachusetts which are some of, if not the most restrictive in the country.

This industry is here to stay and poised to continue its exponential growth. If you are in the cannabis business, looking to get into it, or if it’s just a hobby for you, make a note to stop by next year. Take it all in and have fun, and don’t forget to bring a coat to check in with us!
